the Orc federation war.

The orcs were a lot of split countries and self-governed territories like many other parts of the continent before the dwarves conquest. The dwarves were first deemed good enemies and allies by the different orcs, for they respect military prowess and weapon tech. But soon tension brew. The dwarves which had united the orcs under them, after the great war ended took their guns. Or they tried atleast.

Many legends stems about the orcen revolt. Some say it started when one Ragrar irontooth resisted the dwarves trying to take his weapons. He had been a soldier for the dwarves in their war all over the continent. And was not going to give up his guns so they shot him.

Others claims it was the ol’ McKernst clan who started the revolt over blood-vengeance.. No matter why soon both the  Irontooth’s and the McKernsts soon rallied people to take vengeance against those who had taken lives from their families.

For its hard to control the orcs once you try to take their rights away. And they were quite pisseed at their ancient right to bear arms were taken away. For only slaves were to not carry arms traditionally. Even tho the orcs hadn’t had slavery for over two hundred years they soon rallied around the words ‘’ONLY SLAVES BEAR NO GUNS’’ and would start a region-wide revolt which would shake the new dwarven empire. But that comes later.

For many orcs the dwarves would never get around to take their weapons. Since it was in such a large region.the entire south-west of the continent.
After 20 years the orcs had had enough, they had argued their case to bear arms and the dwarves responded by sending more troops.

Small squabbles were common and the orcs grew more and more restless, until leaders of groups all over the orclands gathered up at a rich orc’s plantation to discuss what to do next. And they were all kinds of orcs, from clansmen to old state leaders to old generals, plantation owners to leaders of illegal unions. And what did they agree on? Uniting against the dwarves of course.

Aye, and the orcs sure gathered. Their green hills and swamps, jungles and plantations were soon united under a new orc federation. Their flag being a red cross with a star for every orcen state, on a green background, symbolising the green skin of the orcs.

And soon after came a campaign for freedom. Dwarven settlers were killed or chased away from their lands. The regional garrisons were killed or sent on retreat. It was a catastrophy for the new dwarven empire.

All trough the orclands dwarven skulls were decorating spears and poles with the orcen federation flags, the O.F were good at guerilla warfare, for their skin hid them in the grass, swamps and jungles. There would be five long years of brutal warfare between the dwarves and orcs.

And the orc federation flag waved all over the orc lands. The federation forces lacked everything from uniforms to guns. But people gave. Dwarven armors and guns were used along with human and orcen arms.

Their main base of operation after the war broke out was the dwarven fort of Egarsburg, sitting well reinforced in a mountain it had AA guns, anti-dragon guns and enough guns to arm over a thousand men and women.

The orcs were in high spirit after their victory over four forts, but they still faced the worst man. The dreaded General Steinerhelm. A particularly cruel dwarven commander. He had came to these lands as a captain under Egar, but where later given the charge of a new dwarven fort built there. He used to torture orcen prisoners to get information. A true dwarf of the mountains. Deeming grounders to be below him, only useful as cannonfodder and manual labour. The man behind the creation of the paramilitary police force used to quell orcen resistance to dwarven rule.

Built a fort he did. Using orcen slave labour.The first halt of the orcen revolution where there. Many dwarven settlers who did not want to leave their new lands fled there to regroup. And they were right now setting up extra fortifications. Air-raids flew out of the fort, helicopters harassing the orcs. But the fort were built into a hill. And the only way in trough the swamps surrounding it were a road. As there were yet to be built a underground rail-road tunnel to the fort.

And the orcs were marching on trough hills and plains. For the fort they would need artillery they brought with them. The dwarves had destroyed all airplanes in the orclands when they left. Those who survived were shot down or bombed later by the few dwarven forts who still stood. Even egarsburg’s last orders were ‘’attack all aircrafts around you’’

thousands of orcs were marching. The trains were bombed short into the war. Driving and marching they did. With their flags. The orcs wore all green clothes to better camouflage themselves from air assault. The following Siege lasted a month. The dwarves fought hard, but they were forced to retreat further and further into their forth. After a month they resigned. The commander gave his axe to the orcen commander. And he and his remaining troops were allowed to leave. They had still managed to destroy nearly all their helicopters.

The dwarven empire were starting to splinter. The dwarven emperor sent a messenger to the orclands demanding their surrender, in exchange he promised to let the orcs keep their arms. But the united orcs were far from ready to lay down arms. Their reply was the messenger’s head wrapped in an Orc Federation flag.

The orcs assembled their entire army and airforce. Human. Half-breeds, wolfmen and eddna. Birdmen and dragons. Everyone were sent to fight. But they were halted at the swamps and jungles.


The jungles in the eastern orclands were one of the most feared figthing zones for the dwarven soldiers. For there the orcs had the best way. Hard to find green orcs in green jungles. The humid weather, the hard tunnel-digigng. And the constant harassment from orcen rebels were taking its toll on dwarven numbers and morale.

Their tunnels often blown up, trying to travel over rivers would have the dwarves shot in their boats, and dwarves would be drowned by orcs dragging them below water.

And then you have the traps, mines and pitfalls. One very common orc weapon were the jump mine. The dwarves dubbed it ‘’the headace’’ as it jumped up to head-height of a dwarf before detonating. Or the hip height of a human.

It would cripple and kill. Then there were the problem that the orcs themselves were digging tunnels. Often coming right out of the ground and kill dwarven forces.

‘’the jungles from hell’’ is a dwarven song from the time. As the war stopped in the jungles. It went better for the dwarves at open plains where they could use their tanks, artillery and huge numbers.

But orcs still gave fierce resistance. The orcs got reinforcements as unhappy people along the dwarven empire flocked to join the fights on orcen side.

But not all orcs were in revolt. A lot of orcs liked the dwarven army. And the dwarven religion. And were fighting on dwarven side.

The swamps were another horrible affair. Deep swamps where the orcen swamp-boats were the worst sound a dwarf could hear. For it meant only one thing. Swift death. The dwarves had to move lightly trough the treacherous swamps, many lost their lives to malaria and drowning. Then the swamp-boats would come by, shoot them up or do quick hit and run attacks.

Kidnapping enemy soldiers and sending them back trough orcen territory to work plantations or factories were also common. There were many dwarves and humans who broke down under the constant stress and fear of kidnapping or death.

The dwarves hastily set up a chain of command worthy the new war however. And soon there were Eddna in the swamps and half-elves/half-orc battalions figthing the orcen/elven rebels.

But it still took a long while. For the orcs discovered the Eddna couldn’t stand too much salt. So they started a horrible new strategy. They would drop salt on the Eddna. Making the Eddna collapse as their cells broke from the salt-overdoses.




But the war slowly turned on the orcs, as the dwarves started to get used to the jungle wars. Horrible close combat fights still ensured a steady stream of crippled dwarven soldiers however. The dwarves would slam their spike helmets into the orcs, and the orcs would smash their rifles into the dwarf’s head, and stomp them over tree roots or rocks. Take their helmets and fight on even with a bleeding leg. After the adrenaline had worn off however, they would have to need help getting up. Many wounded orcs died from infections.

Dragonriders would spew fire over the places radioed to hold O.F troops. And airplanes would bring napalm. The troops dubbed the napalm strikes as ‘’weed removal’’ as they refered to the orcs as plants for their green skin.

The orcs had weapons. They would take out dragon-harpoons. Old weapons , very horrible. Would be shot and fasten itself inside the dragon. Then either an explosive attached would explode, or they would tug the dragon down and kill it and its riders.

The orcs would bring with them rockets to fire at helicopters. Many a human helicopter pilot met their doom at the end of an orcen rocket.

But in the end the dwarves won. But it costed millions of lives, and many more in wounded and crippled.

But still the flags and songs from the war sings on in the orcen population. There are still groups out there fighting the Dwarves. Like the ORA. The Orc republic army. Or the OLA. The Orcen Liberation Army. And many more. But their not having enough numbers to ever take the dwarves on head on. If the orcs ever had the numbers they lost them in the war for the Orcen Federation.

Many orcs are still very bitter at the orcs who fought for the dwarves. And there are still dwarven and human settlers coming into the orclands. Even human born there these days. The dwarves are not in fully control outside the biggest cities or their forts. Even in the cities the orcs sing their songs. One of the most popular being ''Go on home Dwarven soldier'' and ''Come out and fight'' along with ''To arms for the green''.
